Child Killed In Louisiana Car Crash; I-12 East Closed: Report
A multiple vehicle crash has closed eastbound traffic on Interstate 12 east of Baton Rouge, officials said.
ALBANY, LA — A child was killed in a crash on Interstate 12 East near Albany, Louisiana, on Thursday morning, according to a report from WAFB TV.
The crash involved multiple cars, including a commercial vehicle, according to Louisiana State Police. Interstate 12 East is closed at mile marker 31 near Albany, and traffic is being diverted onto Highway 441 at Holden. Officials urge drivers to take U.S. Highway 190 instead of I-12.
The crash occurred around 35 miles east of Baton Rouge.
