Día De Los Muertos Display At East Baton Rouge Library

From the East Baton Rouge Parish Library:

Día de los Muertos is a holiday celebrated in Mexico to remember and pray for family and friends who have died.

Traditions include building altars, called ofrendas, at the gravestones of the dead, and filling them with favorite treats and photographs, as well as decorating with sugar skulls and marigolds. The Main Library is displaying an ofrenda constructed by Monica Santaella and others.

You can visit it through November 12th.
