- The Baton Rouge Police Department is working on a homicide case that occurred on N. Harrells Ferry Rd. Police were called to the scene around 2:00 p.m. on Friday and found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. There is no suspect in custody as of Friday evening. (WAFB)
- LSU president William F. Tate IV joined the list of history’s greatest scientists, artists, and leaders when he was elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. President Tate is one of 261 new members who were voted into the academy. He is one of seven LSU members to receive this honor. (BRProud.com)
- Two sisters were killed in a Baton Rouge hit and run on Jefferson Highway Thursday morning. The two sisters were walking to a gas station and died on the scene. As of Sunday evening, police are still looking for the driver. (WBRZ)
