Here are the top three stories today in Baton Rouge:

1. The Baton Rouge Police Department is working on a homicide case that occurred on N. Harrells Ferry Rd. Police were called to the scene around 2:00 p.m. on Friday and found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. There is no suspect in custody as of Friday evening. (WAFB)
2. LSU president William F. Tate IV joined the list of history’s greatest scientists, artists, and leaders when he was elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. President Tate is one of 261 new members who were voted into the academy. He is one of seven LSU members to receive this honor. (BRProud.com)
3. Two sisters were killed in a Baton Rouge hit and run on Jefferson Highway Thursday morning. The two sisters were walking to a gas station and died on the scene. As of Sunday evening, police are still looking for the driver. (WBRZ)
