Here are the top three stories today in Baton Rouge:
- On Wednesday, a man was shot to death at an apartment complex on Old Hammond Highway. Baton Rouge Police responded to the shooting around 5:00 a.m. As of now, the victim has not been identified and police have made no arrests. (WAFB)
- Guns and drugs were found at a residence after a bust on Oriole Street following an anonymous tip. Police arrested five people in connection to the search. A concerned citizen gave the tip to the BRPD Street Crimes Unit and the BRPD Special Response Team. (BRProud.com)
- The jury has been selected and seated in the murder case involving LSU basketball star Wayne Sims. The trial is set to open today, Apr. 7. Sims was gunned down in 2018 outside of Southern University's campus. Dyteon Simpson has been charged with the crime. (WBRZ)
