Here are the top three stories today in Baton Rouge:
- Eleven children were hurt after an SUV flipped on an East Baton Rouge highway overnight on Sunday. The driver, a mother, apparently lost control of the SUV and the vehicle flipped. The mother was driving with a suspended license and is facing charges. All the children are expected to be okay. (WBRZ)
- On Sunday night, a juvenile was hurt after shots were fired into a Baton Rouge home. The child was struck by bullet fragments and police report no one was taken to a hospital. No information on the shooting suspect has been revealed. (WBRZ)
- Juban's Creole Restaurant is reopening to help reestablish Baton Rouge's fine-dining staple. The restaurant closed its doors in June of 2020 during Lousiana's COVID-19 lockdown. Nearly two years later, the eatery has reopened on Apr. 4 at its original location: 3739 Perkins Road. (The Advocate)
