In a tradition that celebrates school pride, the University of New Orleans is gearing up for Homecoming Week 2021, which starts Monday, Nov. 1.
“The UNO Alumni Association team is thrilled to offer several in-person events for Homecoming Week November 1-6,” said Rachel Massey, associate vice president for external engagement and University events. “We’ve really missed seeing our alumni in person these past 18 months, so we’re planning an extra special celebration this year.”

The festive week features a slate of activities on campus and around the city of New Orleans, culminating Saturday, Nov. 6 with a double-header basketball game and a postgame party featuring the Rebirth Brass Band at Lakefront Arena.
“With a cocktail demo, Jazz at the Sandbar, Distinguished Alumni Gala, reunion event at Faubourg Brewery … there’s truly something for everyone,” Massey said. “We even have a virtual trivia night in conjunction with Student Involvement for those who can’t make the in-person events.”
