The Bible is filled with various accounts of individuals who are examples of outstanding faith. This weekend, millions around the world will have the opportunity to learn about the lives of these faithful ones during the symposium “Imitate Women of Strong Faith!” being presented at the 2021 “Powerful by Faith!” Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

This eight-part symposium highlights the lives of faithful women in the Bible as well as women who are modern-day examples of strong faith.

“I have been amazed at the many ways that the convention has helped me to apply Bible accounts in my life,” said Esther Sarrazin of New Orleans, who has attended conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many decades. “I can't wait to discover more about the lives of some of the faithful women who are found in the Bible and about Jehovah God's wonderful qualities in his dealings with them.”

The “Powerful by Faith!” Convention is being delivered over virtual platforms in over 500 languages to households in 240 lands during July and August 2021. For Jehovah’s Witnesses who have held in-person events annually in stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and theaters around the world since 1897, the pandemic has brought a pause to a century-old tradition.

The continued risk of bringing thousands of people together in cities across the globe prompted the world’s largest convention organization to cancel nearly 6,000 events worldwide and opt for a virtual program for the second consecutive year. The move, however, has not curbed the enthusiasm for the annual convention which is expected to unite 15-20 million people globally.

“Faith has helped our global brotherhood to continue to thrive even during a pandemic,” said Robert Hendriks, U.S. Spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “Our faith will continue to unite us in worship — even virtually — as millions gather in private homes around the world to enjoy a powerful and inspiring spiritual program.”

All are invited to attend the event by going to jw.org on the web or JW Broadcasting on the free JW Library iOS or Android App, or on streaming platforms like Roku TV, Apple TV, and others. The program is free and accessible to all.
