KENNER, LA — A teenager used a stun gun on a 7-year-old boy, leaving him with burns and blisters on his back, and was arrested, authorities in Kenner said.

Kevin Alexis, 19, of the 2700 block of Acron Street in Kenner, told police he was "playing around" Friday when he grabbed a stun gun from his kitchen window and chased kids around in his neighborhood with the device. He turned on the stun gun to scare the children, police said.

As the 7-year-old tried to run away, Alexis "arched the stun gun and placed the electrical current which flows between the metal prongs to the child’s back," police said in a release.
