- A fatal shooting in Holy Cross left one victim dead on late Sunday night. Around 11:45 p.m., police responded to St. Claud Court where they found one man suffering from gunshot wounds. He passed away at the scene. (WGNO New Orleans)
- Gov. John Bel Edwards is planning on denying Folger's application for a property tax exemption. Folgers applied for exemption two years ago and after being denied the first time applied for an appeal from the state board. Folger's employs over 700 New Orleans residents and is one of the largest property taxpayers in the city. The denial will be official after Edwards receives it from Louisiana Economic Development. - In her first visit to the state of Louisiana since becoming First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden visited the Louisiana Cancer Research Center on Friday as a part of President Joe Biden's goal to half the death rate of cancer nationwide within the next 25 years. Dr. Biden toured the facility and gave a talk on promoting the work being done at the center. (FOX8LIVE)
