Here are the top stories today in New Orleans:
- A man was shot and killed at the intersection of Bundy Road and Lake Forest Boulevard on Tuesday night. Police arrived at the scene just after 9:30 p.m. and found the victim, a man, who had been shot multiple times and died at the scene. The crime is still being investigated. (WWLTV)
- Voting rights groups are uneasy after the settlement was reached to lower the number of signatures needed on the Mayor LaToya Cantrell recall petition threshold. State Rep. Mandie Landry was quoted expressing concern over the number chosen to lower the threshold by, and many feel there could be lawsuits to follow. (FOX 8 Local First)
- Ground has been broken on a $100 million project connected with NASA in New Orleans East. This is the first major facility to be brought to New Orleans in two decades and is expected to bring many jobs and help NASA with space exploration. The area is on 50 acres of land and the begging part of the project is expected to be completed in a year and a half. (WWLTV.com)
