Here are the top stories today in New Orleans:
- A shooting in Marrero on Thursday night left two victims with life endangering injuries. A man and woman were shot on Bretagne Court around 10:30 p.m. JPSO responded to the scene and both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. (WDSU New Orleans)
- The New Orleans Public School District has rescinded their statement that the Homer Plessy School's French Quarter campus, which currently needs $18 million in repairs, would be moved. The building lacks ADA accessibility accommodations, but if the school moves, the French Quarter would not have a school in the neighborhood. This would be the first time since the 1720s, and leaders are waiting to gather more input before solidifying their decision. (WWLTV.com)
- A man has been accused of forcing an RTA bus driver to take him to hospital. The man is facing charges of second-degree kidnapping, aggravated assault with a firearm and a felon in possession of a firearm after entering an RTA bus on Wednesday night. (WDSU New Orleans)
