Shortly after the first fire was placed under control a 911 call was received reporting a fire at a storage facility in the 3200 block of General Degaulle Ave. Arriving on the scene at 4:48 a.m., firefighters encountered several units on fire at the Life Storage Facility. A second alarm was requested at 4:51 a.m. as the fire continued to spread through the insulation and common roofs among units. The congestion and variability of contents added to the difficulty and unpredictability of fighting this fire. Subsequent second and third alarms were requested at 4:51 a.m. and 5:45 a.m.

Twenty-one NOFD units and fifty-four Fire Operations personnel were needed to bring this stubborn fire under control at 8:29 a.m. There were no injuries reported and the cause is currently being investigated.
