Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:

  1. Three people, one of which is an infant, were injured in a shooting on Chef Menteur Highway on Saturday. A man, woman and baby were shot at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Chef Menteur Highway. The infant's injury was said to be a graze wound, and all three were taken to the hospital for treatment via EMS. (WDSU New Orleans)
  2. A man was hit and killed by an RTA bus on Canal Street on Saturday night. Details on the victim's identity have not been published, but an adult man was found unresponsive near a bus stop just after 10:15 p.m. near Elk Place and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver had begun to depart from the stop when he was told to stop. The man appeared to have been hit by the end of the bus. The driver is cooperating with police and no arrests have been made.
  3. Who Dat nation is getting a new Quarter Back! Derek Carr from the Las Vegas Raiders has agreed to a four-year contract with our New Orleans Saints for up to $150 million. Carr was between the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers but will sign with the Saints for $60 million guaranteed, then another $60 in his first two years and another $10 in his third year. (ESPN)
