Aberdeen IronBirds Host Bark in the Park, Wrestling Night and PokeMONDAY

ABERDEEN, MD – The Aberdeen IronBirds, Class ‘A’ short season affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, return home to Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium for a three-game homestand, August 20-22, against the Vermont Lake Monsters. The weekend has something for everyone, both humans and canines! Saturday, August 20 is Wrestling Night with former WWE and current Impact Wrestling superstar Matt Hardy, followed by the best firework show in Harford County. Fans and their furry friends are invited to participate in Bark in the Park Night on Sunday, August 21 or try to “catch ‘em all” with the return of PokeMONDAY on August 22.

Saturday, August 20 | 7:05 p.m. vs. Vermont Lake Monsters

• Wrestling Night with guest appearance from former WWE and current Impact Wrestling star Matt Hardy. Hardy will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, as well as signs autographs and takes photos with fans in attendance.
• Water Bottle Giveaway presented By PressBox to the first 1,200 fans.
• The best Fireworks in Harford County! Show begins shortly after the last out of the game.

Sunday, August 21 | 5:35 p.m. vs. Vermont Lake Monsters

• Bark in the Park – Bring your furry friend to the ballpark! Fans and their pooches are encouraged to participate in the Human & Canine Parade, Owner & Canine Look-alike contest, and more. “Pooch Passes” are available for $2.00; seating for owners and dogs is reserved for the first base pavilion.
• Dollar Dogs presented by Berks – Hot dogs are $1 all night.
• Plush Cow Giveaway presented By Chick-Fil-A for the first 1,200 fans.
• Kids Run the Bases - Every Sunday the members of Kids Club can run the bases! Kids 14 and under who are not currently Kids Club members can sign up at www.IronBirdsBaseball.com.
• Sunrun Sundays - Kids have a chance to serve as “Co-pilots” and run on the field with players during the pre-game lineups.

Sunday, August 22 | 7:05 p.m. vs. Vermont Lake Monsters

• PokeMONDAY – Last chance to catch them all before Back-to-School! Fans are invited to play Pokémon Go on the field after the game. Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium is a Poke-stop and Lures will bring extra Pokémon

During every home game, the IronBirds wants to honor your hero at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium this season! Fans can nominate their Hometown Hero, presented by Leidos, by visiting the IronBirds Facebook page, where the selected Hero will receive the opportunity to attend a future IronBirds game and walk out with the ’Birds manager on the field to present the starting lineup cards.
