A former administrative aide at Aberdeen Proving Ground was sentenced to six months in federal prison and ordered to pay $107,493 in restitution on Monday for wire fraud in connection with the misuse of a corporate credit card.

Lynn Carol Williams, of Middle River, was also sentenced to serve six months of home detention as part of three years of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein's office.

According to prosecutors, Williams admitted in a plea agreement that she misused a corporate credit card for the program from February 2008 to October 2010, purchasing gift cards and other items.

In a release, federal prosecutors say Williams used the card in May 2010 to buy gift cards she then used to pay for airfare to Los Angeles for her and a friend.

Williams then made false logs of the card's activity, and made fake receipts on her computer to present the purchases as legitimate, according to prosecutors.
