Man Who Stabbed Officer Convicted of Assault

The 2010 incident outside the Clarion Hotel's Diamond Club resulted in four people being seriously injured.

The Aberdeen Police Department released the following information on Friday about a 33-year-old Baltimore man who was convicted of assault charges stemming from the Jan. 16, 2010 stabbing of an off duty officer and three other people:

"After a week long Circuit Court trial Kibwa Evans of (the 900 block of Saint Dunstans Road in Baltimore) was found guilty of several charges relating to the January 16, 2010 stabbing outside the Diamond Club at the Clarion Hotel in Aberdeen. Several people including an off duty police officer were stabbed during the incident. Evans was found guilty of second-degree assault of Officer Todd Duncan and first-degree assault of two civilians, Roshon Harris and Timothy Daughten. Evans will be sentenced at a later date."
