Ripken World Series Seeks Host Families
Organizers seek host families for Dominican and Mexican players.

Officials are seeking host families for next month's Cal Ripken World Series.
The world series, scheduled from Aug. 9 to 18 at the Ripken Experience complex in Aberdeen, will include 10 American teams and one each from six countries. In an email sent by tourism officials, organizers said they're currently seeking families who can each host at least two players from an international team.
Right now, only the Dominican and Mexican teams are available, according to the email.
Families must provide a place to sleep, three meals a day and transportation to all practices and games between Thursday Aug. 8 and Monday, Aug. 19.
The world series will include a carnival, games, music and a parade. Admission to all games is free.
