Vote: Ripken Stadium In Running For Best Minor League Ballpark
Fans can vote for Ripken Stadium, the home of the Aberdeen IronBirds, to be recognized as the best in minor league baseball.
For more than 10 seasons, IronBirds fans turn out in the thousands on a nightly basis to show how much they love Ripken Stadium.
Now, Aberdeen fans have a chance to voice their appreciation for the ballpark in a national contest to recognize the best minor league facilities in the game.
Voting is on 10best.com, and will run through noon on Aug. 12. Winners will be named on Aug. 14.
Among the others in the running: the home parks of the Durham Bulls—of motion picture fame—as well as two of the IronBirds' New York-Penn League rivals: the Brooklyn Cyclones and the Staten Island Yankees.
