AVFD Fire-Rescue Log

During the period March 17–24, AVFD received 85 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

March 17: At around 12:33 p.m., a brush fire was reported on Interstate 695 at Exit 12 in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded and extinguished the fire.

March 19: At around 2:03 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with inury was reported on South Rolling Road at Gun Road in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville career stations responded. Three people with non-life-threatening injuries were taken to a local hospital.

March 21: At about 2:40 p.m., a person experiencing chest pain was reported on the 300 block of Crosby Road in Westview. Crews from the AVFD and Westview career station responded. One critically ill person was transported to a local hospital.

March 21: At around 8:42 p.m., a small diesel fuel spill was reported on Dewitt Road at Sulphur Spring Road in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded and cleaned up the spill.

March 21: At around 9:51 p.m., a fall with injury was reported on the 700 block of Academy Road in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD responded and transported one seriously injured person to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
