During the period Apr. 21-28, AVFD received 67 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:
Apr. 21: At around 1:33 a.m., an apartment fire was reported on the 4300-block of Alan Arive in Arbutus. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville, Westview and Halethorpe career stations responded. A stovetop fire was extinguished.

Apr. 24: At around 10:24 p.m., a natural gas leak was reported at UMBC. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville career station responded. The hazard was controlled until BGE arrived.
Apr. 25: At around 12 noon, a high rise aerial rescue was requested on the 6300-block of Dogwood Road in W0odlawn to rescue a tree trimmer from a tree. Crews from the Arbutus and Reisterstown volunteer stations and Halethorpe, Randallstown, Texas, Westview, and Woodlawn career stations responded.

Apr. 25: At around 1:09 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with rescue was reported on I-695 between exits 14-15 in Catonsville. Crews from AVFD and the Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded. One critically injured person was rescued from the vehicle and flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Apr. 26: At around 9:43 p.m., a dwelling fire was reported on the 400-block of 5th Avenue in Lansdowne. Crews from the Lansdowne, Arbutus and English Consul volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded and extinguished the fire.
