Baltimore Makes Worst-Dressed List

Some of Baltimore's fashion choices might work against it, magazine says.

Many Baltimoreans take pride in their unique sense of style, but what flies on Lombard Street doesn't always translate to mainstream fashion standards, at least that's what Travel + Leisure magazine says.

The magazine in June ranked Baltimore as the nation's third-worst dressed city, after Anchorage and Salt Lake City.

It quoted one resident as saying some Baltimore hipsters, for example, take grunge to a new level, "opting to dumpster dive for their clothing."

There is also, of course, the iconic 1950s beehive hairdo and cat-eye glasses for which Baltimore is famous -- a look sometimes reprised for city celebrations.
