During the period July 8-15, AVFD received 52 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

July 10: At 10:49 a.m., a natural gas leak was reported on the 1200 block of Maiden Choice Lane in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded and controlled the hazard until BGE arrived.

July 11: At 2:40 a.m., a cardiac arrest was reported on the 1200 block of Locust Avenue, in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded. One seriously ill person was transported to a local hospital.

July 11: At 6:03 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on I-695 between Exits 10 (Edmondson Avenue) and 11 (Frederick Road) in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville and Halethorpe career stations responded. One person with non-life-threatening injuries was transported to a local hospital.

July 11: At 9:49 p.m., a sick person was reported at Oblate Sisters of Providence, 701 Gun Road in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded and transported one seriously ill person to a local hospital.

July 13: At 8:28 a.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on I-195 between Exits 3 (Washington Boulevard) and 4 (I-95) in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded to find property damage only, but no injuries.
