During the period May 20-27, AVFD received 77 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

May 20: At 1:59 p.m., a grill fire was reported on East Drive at North Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded to find a fire that had self-extinguished.

May 21: At 3:29 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on I-695 between exits 12 and 13 in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville career station responded to find a two car accident. One person with non-life-threatening injuries was taken to a local hospital.

May 21: At 6:50 p.m., an assault with injury was reported at the Lansdowne Branch Library at 500 3rd Avenue. Crews from the Lansdowne, Arbutus and English Consul volunteer stations responded. Two people that had been pepper-sprayed were transported to a local hospital.

May 25: At 11:54 a.m., an appliance fire was reported on the unit block of Colony Hill Court in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded to find an overheated air conditioning unit, but no fire.

May 25: At 8:16 p.m., an injured subject was reported on the 1000 block of Beechfield Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from AVFD responded and transported one person with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.
