Former Sulphur Spring Inn Back as DePaola's Pub

Darkened since mid-2011, the -an Arbutus landmark on the 1400 block of Sulphur Spring Road-has quietly resumed operation in advance of its grand opening as DePaola's Pub on April 13.

Owner Andy DePaola said the pub will offer a full menu for patrons, and a large room off the main bar is being renovated into a wine bar and tasting room featuring products from Maryland vineyards.

DePaola has spent several months renovating the establishment.

"We got a lot done, but we have a lot to do yet," he said.

Without any fanfare, DePaola's Pub opened April 6 to allow Chef Patrick and the staff the opportunity to become familiar with the facilities and working together as a team before the grand opening.
