Recent law enforcement activity in the Arbutus Patch area.

Mar. 22: At around 1:26 a.m., a buglar alarm went off at Southwestern Video on the 5600-block of Southwestern Boulevard. When police arrived, glass on the front door had been broken out. Nothing was taken from the business. Surveillance video revealed the suspect fleeing the scene in a vehicle that was subsequently located. Police have a suspect in the case, which is still under investigation.

Mar. 23: At around 1:11 a.m., a buglar alarm was tripped at The Latin Connection on the 4200-block of Annapolis Road in Baltimore Highlands. Surveillance video revealed that a white male suspect forced entry through the front door of the business and fled as soon as the alarm system sounded. Noything of value was taken.

Mar. 23: At around 8 a.m., a burglary was reported at a residence on the 5200-block of Larlin Road in Arbutus. The resident discovered that his home had been broken into and his Xbox and several games were stolen. The property was located at a local game store. The suspect is known to the victim, and the case is still under investigation.

Mar. 23: At around 7:01 p.m. a burglary was reported at a residence on the 2800-block of Ohio Avenue in Baltimore Highlands. A man driving down the street observed a white male exiting the basement door of a neighbor's home. He called the home owner and the police. When police arrived, it was discovered that two suspects entered the home through a side basement window and fled on foot after stealing car keys and a small amount of money. One suspect was described as a white male 20 to 25 years old, about 5' 7" tall and 160 pounds, wearing a dark plaid shirt and khaki shorts. The second suspect was not described.

Mar. 26: At around 10:30 a.m., a Maryland Transit Administration police officer was involved in a collision on the 900-block of S. Caton Avenue in front of St. Agnes Hospital. According to MTA, the officer was headed south on Caton when a north-bound vehicle bearing three passengers made a left turn towards the St. Agnes emergency department entrance into the officer's path of travel. Nobody was seriously injured in the collision. Passengers from both vehicles were evaluated at the St. Agnes emergency department and released. MTA police are still investigating the case.
