Recent law enforcement activity in the greater Arbutus area.

Apr. 21: At 2:55 p.m., police received a call for an attempted armed robbery in the vicinity of Smith Avenue and Lorena Avenue in Lansdowne. The victim told police he was walking from the Carroll Fuel gas station on Patapsco Avenue toward Lorena Avenue. When he passed the intersection of Smith and Lorena, two suspects approached him from behind and grabbed him, asking for money. One suspect put him in a headlock while the other suspect searched his pockets. The two suspects didn't find anything and when they didn't one punched him in the face and then stabbed the victim in the bicep area of his right arm. The victim was taken to St. Agnes Hospital.

Apr. 24: At 12:55 a.m., police received a call for a man inside a person's truck on the 900 block of S. Beechfield Avenue in Arbutus. According to police, the resident of a home called police because they saw a man inside a truck parked in the driveway. The resident went outside and confronted the man, who said he was looking for change to get something to eat. Police arrested Bruce Lee Haney, 33, of the 500-bock of Brunswick Street in Baltimore and charged him with fourth-degree burglary.
