Readers' Choice: Favorite Teacher

Most high school students had one teacher who was so tough and demanding and gave so much homework that it seemed totally unfair. Only years later do those students appreciate what their teacher was trying to do.

Or, maybe it was an elementary school teacher who put in the extra effort just when your son or daughter needed it most.  

Teachers play such an important role in the lives of local children, and we want you to tell us which local teacher deserves to be given some extra accolades from Patch.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to nominate a teacher is to say so in the comments below. If you already see the one you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all of them to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.
