Residents Seek Silver Civic
Help of neighbors sought to identity vehicle linked to property damage.

An email distributed on Sunday by the Relay Improvement Association seeks the help of neighbors to identify a silvery Honda Civic that may be linked to recent acts of vandalism:
An Infiniti SUV parked in the 1700 block on Elm Avenue (near the intersection of Elm and Hazel) had all four tires slashed on Thursday night, May 31. When the discovery was made Friday morning, the police were called and took a report. Neighbors reported that a silver Honda Civic with a damaged front bumper was parked next to the damaged car at approximately 11 p.m.; this information has also been given to the police. Β
Witnesses saw the silver Honda Civic one week earlier on Elm Avenue. When one person approached the vehicle, the driver sped off. Another Relay resident reported seeing this car earlier this week.
We are hoping that an alert community will spot this car and get a tag number, or simply call 911 to report its appearance again in our neighborhood. The police will question the driver.

The last time we had trouble with strangers in our community, an email went out describing the car and license plate. It was a Relay resident who saw the vehicle and made the call to 911, which resulted in the apprehension of all 3 people involved. We're hoping that an alert community noticing this silver Honda Civic can again make the 911 call that solves this problem.
