Riverview Man Charged in Assault on Neighbor

A July 8 altercation between neighbors in Riverview resulted in a woman suffering a severe laceration and her alleged attacker being charged with first-degree assault, according to police.
Shortly after midnight, Tony Lee White, 32, of the 900 block of Catawba Court, began banging on the door of a female neighbor, police said.
The woman called two male friends, who came over to assist and began to verbally argue with White, according to police.

Police said the argument escalated to a physical assault. White allegedly hit the victims and threw a table that struck the woman who lived at the residence, according to police.
Police said White was allegedly armed with a knife. The female victim suffered a severe laceration that required her to go to the hospital for treatment, police said.

The men refused medical treatment, according to police.
White was found at his parent's residence and arrested, police said.
He faces three charges of first-degree assault, three charges of second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, according to police.
