Viewfinder: Focus on Safety

National Victims' Rights Week, which is Apr. 10-16, was launched on Saturday with a Focus on Safety Festival at Arbutus Senior Center.

Rooms at the senior center were packed with exhibitors from the Maryland Poison Center, St. Agnes Hospital, the county health department, the police and fire department, and many other health-related groups.

Special guests included fitness expert Lynne Brick, who provided fitness tips, and self-defense expert Jane McKenna, who presented ways of using a cane as a defensive weapon. Baltimore County state's attorney Scott Shellenberger shared tips on avoiding financial scams.
