Viewfinder: Opening Day Parade in Baltimore Highlands
The opening of youth baseball season is marked by an old-fashioned parade in Baltimore Highlands.
On Saturday, the Baltimore Highlands Recreation Council Baseball Program and the Lansdowne-Riverview Softball Program marked opening day with a parade down Annapolis Boulevard.
A procession of fire trucks began at Oak Grove Road, followed by several floats and hundreds of children and their parents. There were vintage automobiles, drum corps, and step dancing. The rain held out until almost the end at Unger's Field next to Baltimore Highlands Elementary School.
