Vintage Arbutus: Arbutus' First Library
This 1950s photo shows the original library, above a store.
We found this photo in the Baltimore County Public Library's archives. It shows Arbutus' first library, located on East Drive, above an A&P store.
The picture was taken sometime in the 1950s, according to library records. At the time, Bea Williams served as its first librarian.
Arbutus welcomed the current library, a multi-million dollar facility on Sulphur Spring Road, in 2010.
