4-Alarm Steeple Fire Breaks Out In Baltimore

The former home of the Roman Catholic Parish of the Archdiocese of Baltimore was the site of a fire Saturday.

Eyewitnesses said they believe a lightning strike caused the blaze. However, fire officials are still investigating to determine a cause.

BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore city firefighters are trying to extinguish a four-alarm fire at Urban Bible Fellowship Church in Baltimore. The steeple of the church partially collapsed during the fire.

The church, which is at 1200 block of Eager Street, caught fire around 9:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.
