AAA ‘Steps Up’ to Provide More Than a Million Meals
Annual Campaign to Address Food Insecurity Supports Maryland Food Bank

BALTIMORE, MD (August 12, 2025) - According to Feeding America, food insecurity continues to be a major concern across the nation, affecting one in seven Americans. With that in mind, AAA Club Alliance remains focused on making a positive impact in local communities with its annual "Stepping Up for Hunger" campaign.
From August 11th through August 24th, AAA Associates will set out to walk, jog, or run 61 million steps and, when they meet that benchmark, the organization will donate 200,000 meals to local food banks through Feeding America.
Now in its sixth year, Associates have logged over 239 million steps through the Stepping Up for Hunger challenge resulting in AAA donating over one million meals to food banks across the country.

“As an organization, we strive to be there when it matters most; supporting the communities in which our Members and Associates live and work,” said Amber Zionkowski, Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility for AAA Club Alliance. “Our two-week campaign enables our Associates to ‘step up’ and make a difference for those facing food insecurity in our local communities.”
As part of the "Stepping Up for Hunger" campaign, AAA associates will be volunteering at the Maryland Food Bank next Thursday, August 21, packing and distributing food for those experiencing food insecurity.
