BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore firefighter plans to adopt a kitten he helped rescue from a storm drain recently.

Around 7 a.m. Tuesday, the Baltimore Fire Department was dispatched for a rescue at Orleans Street and Broadway.

When firefighters arrived, they found a kitten that somehow fell down a storm drain and couldn't get out.

Several agencies were called in to assist with the rescue, including animal control.

In no time, crews rescued the frightened kitten from its not-so-pleasant predicament.

The kitten was then taken to the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter to make sure it was OK.
