Maryland Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Child In Texas: Police

A chiropractor from Baltimore used an online video game to connect with a child in Texas, according to authorities.

BALTIMORE, MD — A chiropractor from Baltimore was arrested in Texas recently and is being charged with sexual assault of a child after meeting the child through an online video game, police say.

Blake Kalkstein, 37, was arrested July 6 in Stafford, Texas, where police say he traveled to commit the offense.

Kalkstein used an online gaming platform to lure his victim and made trips to Texas in May and July 2022, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

Kalkstein is booked into Fort Bend County Jail on two second degree felony warrants with a $100,000 bond for each charge. He has a court appearance scheduled for Aug. 15, according to court records.

Online games are commonly used by predators to make contact with children, Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan said.

"I urge parents to carefully monitor and control their children’s online activity on social media apps and games," Fagan said.
