Baltimore Mom A Cancer Survivor, Mother Figure To Many
Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to shine a light on awesome moms in the Baltimore area. Meet Kourtney Brown.

BALTIMORE, MD— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.
This submission comes from Nadine Craddock who nominated Kourtney Brown of Baltimore.
What makes this mom extra special?
She is my daughter and has raised three daughters, all of whom went to college. She is 54 years young and has not only raised her daughters but helped raise her goddaughter. That is only the beginning of the legacy. She has four grandchildren and is active in their lives. She has also been a mother figure to her cousins who lost their mother. The blessed part of this is that my daughter, Kourtney Brown, did all of this while she fought breast cancer and survived.
Why do you feel this mom deserves the spotlight?
Because of all the obstacles she's had to endure, she made the blessed decision to never give up when life dealt her lemons. She made all the tough choices to stay focused on her family.
Happy Mother's Day to Kourtney Brown, and thank you for all you do!
