Baltimore Teacher: Grammy-Nominated Artist Shares 'Infectious Energy'

How do you know the teacher?

I'm honored to serve as a member of the Leadership Team alongside Mr. Warren and observe his tremendous engagement with the students, families, and faculty on a daily basis.

What does this person teach?

Music classes from Preschool through Middle School, Instrumental and Vocal Lessons, and Extended Programming.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

As a certified Montessori teacher Mr. Warren demonstrates expansive understanding of the importance of honoring the culture of the school community and building relationships with students and families.

He takes initiative to collaborate with core subject teachers to understand their daily curricula and incorporate those themes and reinforcing those lessons into his music instruction.

His passion for music and experience as a three-time Grammy nominated artist are abundantly evident as he develops and cultivates music theory, sight reading, solfège skills, melodic harmony, and stage professionalism with our students.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Martellies infectious energy and enthusiasm for life and learning are contagious!
