Maryland Lottery Looking For Winner Of $1M Mega Millions Ticket
The winning Mega Millions ticket was purchased at a gas station on May 21, Maryland Lottery officials said.
MARYLAND — One person is waking up a millionaire; however, they may not even know it.
According to Maryland Lottery officials, they are still waiting for the Mega Millions player who won $1 million from a ticket sold in Cecil County last week to come forward.
The $1,000,000 ticket was sold May 21 at Star Gas Mart, which is at 207 West Main St. in Rising Sun.

The Maryland Lottery encourages players to check their tickets by scanning them at any lottery retailer or with the Lottery’s mobile apps. Draw game winners have 182 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prizes.
A second person also became a millionaire last week playing the Maryland Lottery, officials said.

Lottery officials said a scratch-off player in Wicomico County claimed one of the life-changing prizes last week. The winning ticket was purchased at Goose Creek #03, which is at 24948 Ocean Gateway in Mardela Springs.
In all, officials said 38 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or redeemed in the seven days ending May 29, and the Maryland Lottery paid a total of more than $30.1 million in prizes during that span.
