Overnight Lane Closures On JFX Possible For Pavement Project
Pavement marking may cause lane closures on the Jones Falls Expressway between Fayette Street and the county line this week.
From Baltimore City Department of Transportation: The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that overnight pavement marking operations will be conducted along the Jones Falls Expressway this week starting on Tuesday evening (weather permitting).
Starting on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, overnight pavement marking operations will be conducted along both the northbound and southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Fayette Street and the county line from approximately 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning (weather permitting). Overnight striping operations will continue each evening on Wednesday, September 29, Thursday, September 30 and Friday, October 1, 2021 (if needed) during these times.
The striping work will be performed utilizing a moving operation and intermittent lane closures will be needed while pavement markings are applied. Traffic control vehicles will follow the marking machines to direct motorists around the work zones.
