DARLINGTON, MD — Two fires broke out Saturday morning shortly before 6:45 a.m. and again around 9:30 a.m. at a two-story home located in the 3200 block of Conowingo Road.

According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, a passerby spied flames in a wall on the rear porch of the home where a generator had been located. Fifty firefighters from the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company worked for 10 minutes to gain control of the fire, which caused $10,000 in damage.

The fire marshal's office stated it cannot rule out that the 9:30 a.m. fire was reignited from an earlier fire that broke out in the morning around 6:43 a.m. that was linked to a generator found smoking and on fire on the rear porch.
