1 Teen, 3 18-Year-Olds Arrested In Fatal Birthday Party Shooting At Aberdeen Home: HCSO

One teen and 3 18-year-olds have been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting at a birthday party in an Aberdeen home, police say.

ABERDEEN, MD — Less than a day after an 18-year-old was fatally shot in the basement of an Aberdeen home, Harford County detectives have arrested four suspects.

On Jan. 5 around 12:34 a.m., Harford County sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 1300 block of North Sewards Court in Aberdeen for a shooting. They found two men with gunshot wounds. Jaylen Jackson, 18, of Aberdeen was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot. Kylonne Taylor, 18, of Aberdeen, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.

The investigation showed four people went into the home while a birthday party was happening. A fight broke out and multiple shots were fired, injuring Jackson and killing Taylor. Later that night, after multiple interviews, search warrants and an examination of evidence collected, Amir Dorsey, 18, and Quinton Jackson, 18, from Edgewood, were charged with illegal possession of ammunition. A 17-year-old juvenile from Abingdon was charged as an adult and Tyjeir Cole, 18, from Aberdeen were both charged with second-degree murder, the sheriff's office reported.

During their investigation, detectives found a handgun near Taylor, which had been reported as stolen from North Carolina. They do not believe it was used in the shooting, but the handgun that was used in the birthday party shooting has not been recovered.

All suspects were taken into custody and taken to the Harford County Detention Center. Dorsey and Jackson have been released on their own recognizance. Cole and the juvenile suspect are being held without bail. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective Moro with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 443-409-3154.
