Discounted Cat Adoptions in Harford County Saturday, Sunday
The Humane Society of Harford County will lower the cat and kitten adoption fee on July 14 and 15 only.

You can take a friendly feline home for $15 as part of the 's a-CAT-emy awards event this weekend.
This is the second year the Humane Society has organized the cat and kitten adoption event.
Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday, the Humane Society is lowering the adoption fee from $95 to $15, according to a release.

The $15 adoption fee for cats and kittens includes a rabies vaccination for animals 4 months or older, the first set of distemper shots, de-wormer, flea and tick preventative, a microchip for identification, a general health exam and a bag of starter food.
For those looking for a more temporary situation, a "kitten baby shower," outlining foster opportunities will be held between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.

The shower will also serve as a donation drive. Donations of kitten baby bottles, kitten formula, canned and dry kitten food, non-clumping kitty litter and heating pads to help are among the items on the and baby registry listed under the name "Kitten Shower."
Both events are scheduled to take place at the shelter's location at 2208 Connolly Road in Fallston.
