
Jay VanDeusen, President of the Bel Air Rotary Club, presented a check for $3,750 to Joyce Duffy, Executive Director of Harford Family House.
The Bel Air Rotary Club has pledged to renovate one of the apartments at Harford Family House at a cost of $25,000. This was the second check presentation as $2,500 dollars was donated in August.
Harford Family House is a transitional shelter for homeless families with children located in Aberdeen, MD. The apartment building they use in their program is almost 50 years old and in great need of renovation.

The Bel Air Rotary Club does various fundraisers throughout the year to raise the money to fulfill this pledge, including their upcoming St. Patrick’s Day theme bull roast scheduled for Friday March 16th, 2012.
Other organizations and Foundations that have contributed to the renovation are: Harford County Maryland, through CDBG funds, the France-Merrick Foundation, TD Charitable Foundation, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, The Knott Foundation and the Dresher Foundation. Other churches, individuals and companies have also donated the funding or supplies to renovate the apartments.
