Bel Air Man Charged In Stabbing Of Pennsylvania Man

A Bel Air man has been charged in connection to threatening to kill a Pennsylvania mom and stabbing her son.

BEL AIR, MD — A Harford County man faces assault, trespassing and other charges after police say he stabbed a man and threatened to kill a woman in Pennsylvania.

The incident happened Oct. 5 just before 7:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Delta Road in Chanceford Township, Pennsylvania.

According to court documents, a woman told police that people had been drinking at the apartment where the stabbing happened. She told police that the suspect, later identified as Michael Wayde Brown, 38, started acting erratically. She said she was in her bedroom when she heard noises downstairs. She went to the kitchen and found her son bleeding from his stomach and Brown holding a kitchen knife, court documents stated. Police later discovered that the son had been stabbed on the right side of his stomach and had a cut on the right side of his throat, reports stated.

The woman told police that Brown tried to break a window, but then went up to her, put the knife up against her back and threatened to kill her. The woman's son intervened and tried to grab the knife from Brown who then took off with the knife. Police later found the knife in the 2700 block of Delta Road, as well as Brown who was bleeding from his face.

Both men were taken to WellSpan York Hospital for treatment of their wounds, reported the York Dispatch.

Brown faces numerous charges including simple assault, making terroristic threats, defiant trespassing, criminal mischief and prowling at night. He also faces summary charges of criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment, court documents showed.
