Car Bursts Into Flames On Route 24; Nobody Injured, Officials Say
The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company and Abingdon Fire Company handled a car fire on Route 24 Tuesday morning.
ABINGDON, MD — One person escaped from a vehicle fire on MD 24 in Abingdon Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
Crews from Bel Air and Abingdon responded to the blaze on Route 24 north around 7:30 a.m., according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.
The vehicle was engulfed in flames, but the person inside had gotten out unharmed, and no other vehicles were nearby, officials said.

"In the video you see a newer firefighter attacking the fire with guidance from the senior firefighter," officials said. "BAVFC Volunteers learn things from every call and constantly train to be prepared for any type of emergency."
