Dryer Fire Blamed For $200K In Damages To Aberdeen Home: Official
A dryer fire is being cited as the cause of a late Sunday night house fire in Aberdeen, leading to $200K in damages and loss.

ABERDEEN, MD — A fire broke out at an Aberdeen home Monday night and a dryer is to blame.
The owner of the home located in the 2000 block of Park Beach Drive in Aberdeen found the fire behind his dryer that was spreading up the wall around 9:51 p.m. He attempted to use a fire extinguisher but it wasn't working, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office. He left the home and called 911.
Around 35 firefighters with the Aberdeen Fire Department spent 10 minutes gaining control of the fire, which caused $200,000 in damage and loss to the one-story, single family home, the state fire marshal's office stated.
