Garden Mart In Bel Air Set For Friday

BEL AIR, MD — Flowers and other plants will be for sale at the Bel Air Armory this Friday during the annual Bel Air Garden Mart.

The Bel Air Appearance and Beautification Committee sponsors the event, which will bring a bevy of perennials, annuals and native plants to North Main Street.

Several garden clubs will be participating, and new this year is Harford County Climate Action, an organization that will be promoting the Bel Air Five, a group of host plants that attract butterflies and moths: New Jersey tea plants, arrowleaf and blue violets, spicebush, ten-petal sunflower and milkweed.

Admission is free, and live music will be on tap.

The Bel Air Garden Mart will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20, at the Bel Air Armory, 37 N. Main St.
