Graduation Rate Increases For Harford County Public Schools
A state report has shown that the graduation rate for the class of 2024 at Harford County Public Schools is the highest in 14 years.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A recent report shows that the four-year graduation rate for the class of 2024 at Harford County Public Schools has reached 91.6%, marking the highest graduation rate since the Maryland State Department of Education adopted the cohort model in 2011.
This represents an increase from the 90.8% graduation rate for the class of 2023.
The Maryland State Department of Education also reported that the state's overall four-
year cohort high school graduation rate for 2024 reached 87.6%, the highest level since 2017.

The state graduation rate saw a 1.8 percentage point increase compared to the prior year, with the most significant gains among Hispanic students and multilingual learners, the district stated. Additionally, the four-year cohort dropout rate decreased statewide.
"We are incredibly proud of our students, educators, families and staff for this remarkable
achievement," said Sean Bulson, superintendent of Harford County Public Schools. "This
milestone reflects our commitment to providing high-quality education and support systems that
ensure student success. We will continue to build on this progress to help every student reach
their full potential."
