Harford County Flag Lowered For First Responder Wayne Fisher

​Wayne Fisher, a first responder with the Harford County Fire and EMS Foundation passed away suddenly last week. He was 47 years old.​

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Harford County honored a local first responder who recently died in the line of duty by lowering its flag.

Wayne Fisher, a first responder with the Harford County Fire and EMS Foundation passed away suddenly last week. He was 47 years old.

The Harford flag was lowered to half-staff Thursday on the day of his funeral at Mountain Christian Church in Joppatowne.

The circumstances leading up to Fisher's death were not immediately clear.

“Harford County honors the service of EMT Wayne Fisher and all those who give of themselves to save lives in our community,” County Executive Glassman said. “We send our thanks and prayers to Wayne’s family, his friends and his fellow first responders in this time of grief.”
